River's Diary - Last Night

I can hear the Doctors voice, repeatedly saying breath, I can feel his hands all over me, he obviously has no clue what to do, at one point I think he is going to kiss me, sadly not. eventually he realises what i'm doing.


"River, your holding your breath!" he says crossly
I force my eyes open, grinning and shaking my head slightly.


"your a fine one to talk about holding! how many hands do you have?"
"Get up!What are you doing here?! who was shooting at you?!"
I spring to my feet with a gasp


"Oh, just a few Sontarans, chased me halfway accross the galaxy, i really shouldn't have asked them if they were on a hen night."
"River, you can't do things like that!
"Or what? you already had me banged up in jail for 5 years, what you gonna do?"
I grin flirtatiously and add;"spank me?"


I notice a dress hanging on a coat hanger. not a nice one, low cut, green - ish.


"doctor? have you brought someone else here? does anyone agree to wear that dress?! where is she?"
"River! think it through!" his voice echoes at the back of my mind, i'm unsure if the words actually came from his mouth or not.


"This happened the last time I was here, you brought someone else!"
"no i didnt!"
"yes you did, I heard you talking to her!"
"ITS THE SAME NIGHT!"

I'm not sure if he actually said that or it was my mind pointing out the obvious, either way I ignored it.


1ST RIVER!
"Doctor! were you talking to someone?!"
"no, just me!"

I didn't believe him of course, but there was obviously no one else in the TARDIS, as far as i knew anyway. I returned to the wardrobe.


OTHER RIVER!
"Were you talking to someone?!"
He asks as if slapped, "no, no, dear, just me. I can tell he's lying of course. I had heard voices. more than his.


3RD RIVER!
I enter the TARDIS with a smile


"You nostalgic idiot, you just can't keep away can you?

I notice a dress, identical to my own, suspicion arises inside me as I remember a while back when i had thought he had brought someone else into the TARDIS.


"Doctor? why have you bought another one of theese? Who else is here?"

He advances towards me, then looks around


"River? could you just check the light on top? I think the bulb needs changing!"

I blink in disbelief


"The bulb?"

He nods and I exit


OTHER RIVER!

"who were you talking to?!"
"YOU! I was talking to you!

oh, thats all i can think.


"Back to stormcage for you DR.Song."

He fiddles with my vortex Manipulater.


"Oh at least give me a lift? you know what this thing does to my hair!"
"Its always like that!"

I feel like slapping him, but soon I'm back in stormcage.


3RD RIVER!

"the lights fine, I don't know what your talking about!"

"NO RIVER! WRONG TARDIS! I parked round... the back"

Another Doctor appears behind me, I turn from one to another. mouth open momentarily


"Younger version" The latest arrival says


"TWO OF YOU! the mind races does it not.."
my mind thinks of thoughts I have to shake out my mind to stop myself from blushing.


"come on we'll be late!"
I remembered where we were originally heading.


"He's taking me to the singing towers of Darillium! He's been promising for AGES"
I do not notice the sad glance between them, I do not notice as their smiles falter into a frown, I do not hear their discussion of my death, Spoilers. I run to the other TARDIS not noticing any of theese. Not knowing my fate


1ST RIVER

I run in just to see another Doctor exit, exciting thoughts run through my mind, I try not to blush or giggle.


"There's two of you! The Mind races!"
"Come on you! let's go and see the stars"
"But I haven't changed!"
I look up at him.
"And you never will River, Never, ever."
A question bubbles in my mind
"what was the other you doing here?"
"sorry, can't say"
I smile 
"what's that word you use?"
"Spoilers"
"I lke that word"
"I thought you might
"Oh, Doctor, you and your secrets, you'll be the death of me!"

Little did I know....

River's Diary - First Night

OK. so i think I broke the chain sooooo I thought I'd do a river's view.I'm classing River's view as River's diary

First Night

so very bored, and cold, flicking through my diary because I have nothing better to do. *TARDIS appears* Or not, it's as if he can sense my boredom, he's always there when I need him. That impossible ((and gorgeous)) mad man
I notice the dress hanging as I enter the TARDIS


"The dress is a little daring"

The Dress is a slight green - ish colour, low cut and rather shiny, it wasn't anything i'd wear. except maybe the low cut part. he says something i don't quite catch so I simply reply.


"Are we going out?"
"Parents are asleep, How's stormcage?"
"I'm on the first night of 12,000 consecutive life sentences, kinda bit early to say, where we going?"
"Halderan Beta! Boring planet of the chip shops, BUT! there is a 400 foot tree growing out of the top of the north side of the mountain in the middle of the sea if you take a lift  to the top, at exactly 12 minutes past midnight on the 21st of september 2360 you can see more stars in one sky than at any other moment in the history of the universe. it's like daylight, only magic. you could read a book by it"

He says all this so fast It's hard to take it all in, I smile at him, he's almost talking to himself, but he doesn't realise it. but to be fair, The stars sound beautiful and rather romantic.... but not the book, i have enough of those!


"mind if i dont?"
"we've got 10 minutes, get dressed"
"so close to the perfect sentance"


He murmurs in agreement, i grin, he probably wasn't even listening. he asks me if i brought the 
diary. 

"did you bring the diary?"
"oooh, Its a diary?"
"It is now because, river, There are rules"


He says this with quite some seriousness, but I'm never serious, well, rarely.


"ooh, youve gone all strict, not that i might"
"River, you and I, it's all in the wrong order, we never meet in sequence, we put everything in the diary so you know where we are."
"put what in the diary? sweetie, I'm in the higher security in all the known universe"

I am slightly confused and not sure what he's on about, quite frakly, it's IMPOSSIBLE to escape from stormcage. well, almost impossible.She was here now was she not?


"River Song could walk in and out of that prison as though the walls aren't there."
"I'm River Song"
I say this with a smile as relisation dawns on me


"Then you'll be fine, if you don't like the dress, there's plenty more in the wardrobe first right, second left, just past the helter skelter!"

I close my diary with a smile and run off in the directions he told me.


OTHER RIVER!


Why am I always getting shot at? it's becoming a trend! then again it's my fault for asking them if they were on a hen night, I scrabble at the TARDIS door, It is flung open and I fall into the Doctor's arms.

"I knew you would come back here you nostalgic idiot"

I say this breathlessly, needing to catch a breath I yell and here has voice exclaim River sevral times....

River's View Part Two: Forest of the Dead

First of all, I apologise for taking so long to post this. Here's part two of River's View, a feature that charts a story part from the eyes of River Song. 

"What's wrong with it?" I ask, approaching the Doctor.
"There's a signal coming from somewhere interfering with it." he replies, studying his screwdriver.
"Use the red settings." I instruct.
"It doesn't have a red setting." The Doctor objects.
"Well, use the dampers."
"It doesn't have "dampers!"
"It will do one day." I retort.
The Doctor stands. "So sometime in the future I just give you my screwdriver." he asks incredulously.
"Yeah."
"Why would I do that?
"I didn't pluck it from your cold dead hands if that's what you're worried about." I assure him.
"And I know that because...?"
"Listen to me, you've lost your friend—you're angry, I understand. But you need to be less emotional, Doctor. Right now—"
"Less emotion— I'm not emotional!"
"There are five people in this room still alive! Focus on that. Dear god, you're hard work young." I snap.
"Young— Who are you?!" the Doctor demands.
"Oh for heaven's sake! Look at the pair of you." Lux breaks in. "We're all going to die right here and you're just squabbling like an old married couple!"
The Doctor and I stare at each other. "Doctor. One day I'm going to be someone that you trust. Completely. But I can't wait for you to find that out. So I'm going to prove it to you. And I'm sorry. I'm really very sorry." Carefully, I lean forward and whisper a word in his ear. His name. He stares at me. "Are we good? Doctor. Are we good?"
He nods once, still speechless. "Yeah, we're good."

River's View Part One: Silence in the Library

Here's part one of River's View, a feature that charts a story part from the eyes of River Song.

PART ONE: SILENCE IN THE LIBRARY

"Thanks," I say, flipping through my diary. 

"For what?" the Doctor asks, leaning against the desk.

"The usual. For coming when I call."

"That was you?" 

"You're doing a very good job acting like you don't know me." I reply. "I'm assuming there's a reason."

"Oh, a fairly good one actually." He mutters.
"Okay, should we do diaries then? Where are we this time? Going by your face I'd say it's early days for you, yeah?" I look over him, then back at the diary. "So, um... Crash of the Byzantium. Have we done that yet?" His face is blank. "Obviously ringing no bells. Alright, um. Picnic at Asgard, Have we done Asgard yet?" I ask, remembering Asgard fondly. He, however, doesn't seem to. "Obviously not. Blimey, very early days then. Oo! Life with a time traveller, never knew it could be such hard work. Um..." I pause. He's staring at me. "Look at you. You're young."

"I'm really not, you know," he says with a slight smile.

"Oh but you are. Your eyes!" I caress the side of his face. "You're younger than I've ever seen you."

"You've...seen me before then?" 

A horrible feeling fills me. "Doctor," I say softly. "Please tell me you know who I am." I will him to say, "Oh, River, of course I know who you are!" but he doesn't. He glances at my hand on his shoulder, then meets my gaze. "Who are you?"

In those three words, my hearts break.

I will be doing Forest of the Dead sometime this week. Check the rota to see the who will be doing the next Views.

She was born in battle at Demons Run where Madame Kovarian stole her and took her away

Madame Kovarian took Melody to an Orphanage on Earth in Florida

ON THE STREETS + REGENERATION

Having escaped the suit, and dying, Melody lived on the streets of florida where she regenerated

BEST FRIENDS

Melody took up the nickname Mels and became best friends with young Rory and Amy and they grew up together

BERLIN

the Doctor finally came, and she knew from Kovarian that she must kill him, and after being shot by Hitler, she poisened him with poison of the Judas tree, she then used up all of her remaining regenerations to save him. In return he left her a TARDIS blue diary.

ARCHAEOLOGY

River becomes an Archaeologist to find the Doctor.

CAPTURED

River is made: Doctor River Song, and is captured by Kovarian and forced into the spacesuit to kill the Doctor

I CAN'T KILL YOU

River refuses to kill the Doctor and all of time happens at once.

A WEDDING AND A FUNERAL

the Doctor marries River and also shows her that he is the Tesslecta and she kills him, so that time continues

PRISON AND DEMONS RUN

River is sent to Stormcage and she is sent to Demons Run once again and she tells the Doctor she is Amy and Rory's daughter.

INVITE

she recieves a letter from the Doctor and is once again at Lake Silencio watching the Doctor die, she also kills the Silence and kisses the Doctor for the last time.

BYZANTIUM AND AFTER THE BYZANTIUM

At the Byzantium River meets the Doctor again and an Amy who didn't have a clue who she was.
After the Byzantium she went too Amy and revealed to her the Doctor wasn't dead.

EVERYONE DIES, BUT NOT ALL THE TIME

River meets the Doctor, only he doesnt know her yet. It breaks her heart so much she sacrifices her self for him, and he saves her soul inside the library computer.

Rivers view

Yes it's late, very late. But at least it's actually been done :)
 Rivers View: The Wedding of River Song:

I don't have to kill him, I don't want to kill him, so why should I kill him. Because the suit is in control that's why. And because he's telling me I have too, that it's a fixed point in time, I don't have a choice. But I'm me and I have my own ideas and if I drain my weapon systems, no one dies today. But will it work? Or will it create something that I can't fix? Well if I kill him I will never know if I don't kill him, I don't have to suffer and neither does he.
 *shoots but nothing happens*

Doctor: What have you done?

Me: well I think I just drained my weapon systems.

Doctor: but this is a fixed point in time!

Me: fixed points can be rewritten

Doctor: no they can't!! Who told you that?!

 And, suddenly I was in another world, minus spacesuit, I was wearing normal clothes. But I soon found out the truth and that's when I knew what the doctor meant, fixed points should never be rewritten because they all have dangerous consequences...

This is the second time I've posted a "Hello!" post, but now its 2.0! I will decide what feature I will do after The Wedding Of River Song but please if you have got any good ideas please comment. I might do a poll as well if I am split between ideas.

The Launch

We're finally launching!! The River Song Appreciation Blog will now post regularly, with features, news and other stuff on River Song. Aside from me, GoodGum and DoctorWhoDragon are writers- L Bunting's invite has been delayed due to email problems. DoctorWhoDragon will be doing a couple of features, GoodGum is free to make some up and I'll be doing a feature called River's Wibbly Timeline, done in 3 parts- today, tomorrow and Saturday. As this is the sister (DAUGHTER) blog of RPAS I have decided on.... RIVERS VIEW! If you have come here from RPAS you will know what I mean but just in case: Rorys View was something I came up with on RPAS where basically everyone writes a short part of an episode I give them. From Rorys view. Now were on RSAS it will be the same. Only from Rivers view. Hope you enjoy. When Lydia becomes contributor I will post a timetable.

I've decided to put the launch date back to Thursday at 7.05pm, everything will be ready by then :) Come back at 7.05 for a launch post, and other stuff including hellos from other contributors will be coming later tomorrow, and on Friday :)

Launching on Friday

Hi :) So, there's been no posts here since Monday, and the reason for that is I'm waiting to launch the site with picture, Disqus and other features on Friday. The blog will launch at 7.05pm on Friday, 24 hours before The Wedding of River Song airs! (I really hope that TWORS is not River's final story, but if it is... the blog will close quietly after Saturday.) DoctorWhoDragon has already joined up, and L Bunting will follow soon.
